Rose City Raid 2022

July 23-24, Sherwood, Oregon

What to Expect

Rose City Raid is known for its challenging mission lineup and fantastic tables featuring plenty of special terrain. This year we are leading from the front by using the Reinforced Command ITS extra! You can expect some great and challenging gaming, as well as drinking and plenty of pizza to go around!

This tournament isn’t for the faint of heart, nor those with weak constitutions. Just like last year, we will be holding the event at Madrona Hill Vineyard in Sherwood Oregon, with ample supply of beer and pizza on-hand.

  • Prizes

One of my guiding principles in running the Rose City Raid last year, was to have an epic prize table. This year will be no exception! Like previous years, the biggest and best prizes will be able to be won by anyone through a raffle, so even if you don’t do well, you could very well go home with something epic.

  • Terrain

My favorite part of the Rose City Raid is the terrain! Expect to use special terrain rules on every single table. Practice with the rules at home, make some intense tables covered in Jungle, or entirely zero-G (on the outside). These tables will challenge you, but don’t worry, your opponent will be suffering along with you.

  • Charity

This is one of our first events in support of the Rose City Game Orginization (or RCGO), a new non-profit aimed at bringing board games, RPGs, cards games and all the nerd hobbies to underserved communities.

Bring old games and books that you’d like to donate to help get a new generation of gamer involved.

Scenarios

As always, we’ve picked a difficult line up of missions, which combined with our tables are going to create a uniquely challenging event. I’ve given everyone a slight reprieve with the Reinforced Command ITS extra, so its’ time to bust out those aggressive Lieutenants! Don’t forget to bring plenty of Terrain (Total) should you play on one of the more terrain-oriented tables. Each round will last 2 hours with a half hour break in between, if all goes well we should be done in time for dinner!

300 points, Reinforced Command, Red Classified Deck.

July 23rd, DAY 1:

  • Registration (11:00 – 11:45)

  • Round 1: Capture and Protect (12:00 – 14:00)

  • Round 2: Rescue (14:30 – 16:30)

  • Round 3: Countermeasures (17:00 – 19:00)

July 24th, DAY 2:

  • Round 4: Decapitation (12:30 – 14:30)

  • Round 5: Biotechvore (15:00 – 17:00)

  • Prizes and Awards (17:15 – 18:00)

The scenarios have been hand selected to be incredibly challenging, we will be using the Red Classified Deck, but we are also using the Reinforced Command ITS Extra, so bust out those aggressive lieutenants and beat some face!

Note: Reinforced Command means you ignore the Loss of Lieutenant rule entirely. This includes nominating a new Lieutenant, so have Chain of Command handy if you need that order for NCO.
